Saksang is typical Toba Batak dishes made of pork (or beef dogs) were chopped and cooked with the use of blood (pig blood), coconut milk and spices (including kaffir lime and bay leaves, coriander, onion, garlic, chili , pepper, lemongrass, ginger, galangal, turmeric and andaliman). Saksang become mandatory food in Batak wedding customs.
